ACP created a multi-level, industry-focused trivia
game to increase product awareness and stimulate response among
the agencies and Marketing Reps. The agencies distributed unique
PINs to their reps who then accessed the game via an 800 number.
The game started with each rep choosing his own level of difficulty,
then answering three industry-specific questions. With each
correct answer, reps could “double dare” by answering
a more difficult question and thereby double their points
The program consisted of 3 complete game cycles throughout the
year, with players advancing to each new level only after answering
the 3 questions correctly. By answering correctly and accumulating
points, players could win cash awards and enter a drawing for
major prizes. |

The program was so successful with the agencies and Marketing
Reps that it has run every year for the past 11 eleven years.
The format remains the same, but the creative theme changes
to take advantage of current events in the popular media.
Subsequent testing of the Marketing Representatives showed significant
retention as a result of the industry-oriented questions. As
a result, direct sales costs have been dramatically reduced.
The program scored a huge success in creating the awareness
for which it was designed: the agencies and reps eagerly await
each year’s rollout and new creative. |
