 The Advertising Council Selects ACP Interactive to Help Launch Automated Service in Support of U.S. Department of Homeland Security Public Service Marketing Campaign 

ACP Interactive Expedites Dissemination of Critical Information to Aid Preparation American Citizens for Potential Terrorists Attacks 

San Francisco, Calif. – February 21, 2003 –  ACP Interactive, a leading provider of interactive marketing services, announced today that they have been retained by the Ad Council to help manage requests and expedite handling of information being produced by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security designed to help U.S. citizens prepare for potential terrorist attacks.

 In a speech on February 19, Secretary Tom Ridge, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security announced a multi-media public service advertising campaign to help the public prepare for potential terrorist attacks. The focal point of this public service effort is a brochure entitled “Get Ready”. The new “Get Ready” brochure, which covers emergency supply kits, family communication plans and suggested responses for each type of attack, is available at brochure is available at 1-800-BE READY (1-800-237-3239) and at www.ready.gov.  To expedite handling the expected volume of 800# telephone requests for the brochure, the Ad Council has retained ACP Interactive of San Francisco for call processing and order fulfillment.  ACP Interactive began managing calls and fulfilling requests last week.
